Service science encompasses development of relevant knowledge and technology. More importantly, service personnel must understand the spirit and values of service, and use a “human-centric” approach to provide heartwarming services.
The camps for cultural service experiences allowed participants to form a firm belief in service value, enabling conscious change which helped to expand and spread the spirit of service. The three-day camp provided experiential learning that generated alternate experiences for participants and gave the younger generation a deeper understanding of the meaning of “service.” We have hosted 13 camps since launching this project from 2008. A total of 1,000 people participated in the camps.
