Develop service science academia-industry cases

2020/06/03

S3TW launched the “Service Science Case Development Project” in 2012 and invited teachers who had participated in Harvard case study training to compile service science cases from enterprise scenarios. We hope to close the gap between academia and industrial practice, and use these cases as teaching materials that allow students to learn about the challenges and strategies enterprises may encounter during the process of developing services.

A total of 16 cases were produced from 2012 to 2014 under this project and were included in the renowned Kung-Hwa Management Cases Collections (KMCC). Following publication and promotion by KMCC, these cases forged connections with many teachers involved in service science teaching and research.

In 2019, S3TW also developed 10 micro teaching-cases for the online learning platform. These cases were mainly based on cases from our service innovation newsletter. Case content included the main text, questions and answers, and quizzes; these cases helped learners to learn about the essence of business models and value chains through domestic and overseas enterprise cases related to service innovations.
