In 2012, S3TW advanced service science education by inviting experts from all fields to jointly establish a “service science core curriculum framework” and a “service science core curriculum framework reference guide” which explained service science frameworks and narratives.
This service science core curriculum aims to integrate academia with industrial practice and hopes to generate benefits for industrial development and transformation through academic research and education. The service use cases help students understand service science values and concepts.
S3TW also implemented the “service science curriculum subsidy program” to encourage teachers to integrate service science in teaching materials, so that students can better understand the spirit and values of service science while learning professional knowledge covered in each lesson. This program not only provides nation-wide subsidies to teachers of basic disciplines relating to service science, but also helps teachers in integrating other subjects (for example logistics, healthcare, or culture) with service science concepts and service design methodologies. We also collaborated with enterprises so students were able to conduct practical trials during lessons.
